We’re excited to share that a custom Home Assistant integration is now available for the Water Grip smart water meter and leak detector. This means your water monitoring system can now connect with the rest of your smart home, helping you stay in control while protecting your home from costly water damage.

Smarter leak detection with Home Assistant

The Water Grip makes it simple to monitor your water usage and detect leaks before they become a problem. It clamps directly onto your pipe - no cutting, no plumber required - and instantly alerts you if a leak is detected.

With the custom Home Assistant integration, those alerts can trigger smart home actions automatically. Imagine your smart lights flashing red if a leak is detected, or an automated water valve shutting off your supply to stop damage in its tracks. This is the power of combining Water Grip with Home Assistant: turning critical information into immediate action. 

You can view data like:

• Leak status
• Signal strength
• Total volume (water consumption)
  
• Water temperature
  

Track water usage and save money

The integration also makes it easy to stay aware of your daily consumption.

This data can be displayed in dashboards, giving you a full overview of your household’s water consumption. You can even create automations to remind you when usage exceeds your goals or connect Water Grip with other Home Assistant devices to build routines that save water and money.
