Challenge

In the camping industry, it is increasingly necessary to encourage eco-friendly behavior among travellers, particularly concerning water and electricity consumption. Traditional awareness methods, such as posters and flyers, have a limited impact. Campgrounds face the challenge of reducing water waste while engaging guests in a meaningful and interactive way.

Solution

EcoludiK integrated the Quandify CubicMeter into their connected screens, which are installed in each mobile home. The CubicMeter allows them to monitor water consumption in real time, displaying the data directly on the EcoludiK screen with colored smileys. This immediate feedback educates and motivates guests to reduce their water usage throughout their stay. The solution is both simple to implement and highly engaging for users, providing a clear and tangible connection between their actions and their environmental impact.

Results

Since the implementation of EcoludiK with the Quandify CubicMeter in a pilot campsite in Argelès-sur-Mer (France), a measurable reduction in water consumption has been confirmed, with guests becoming more aware of their usage. The real-time feedback provided by the CubicMeter has significantly increased guest engagement, and the initial feedback has been extremely positive. Campground managers have also reported greater control over water resources, contributing to overall cost savings and a stronger eco-friendly image.
